The standard UFS tap covers normal user needs, with respect to DIN standards (the catalogue contains over 17,000 entries).

The best high content cobalt, vanadium and sintered steels are used in the production of taps; tempering is fully assisted, guaranteeing consistent quality of the basic semi-finished product.

Additional surface treatments such as nitriding, vaporisation, chrome-plating, coating in Titanium (TiN), Titanium Carbo-Nitride (TiCN) and Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAIN) make it possible to manufacture high-performance long lasting products.

UFS realizes 3 product lines which differ depending on the material used (Line=5% Cobalt, Plus=8% Cobalt, Top=sintered or hard integral metal)  and on the preparation systems for the coatings adopted. 



Preparation of the surfaces before the coating treatment and any subsequent polishing, can increase the life of the tool exponentially compared with unprepared tools. This procedure is guaranteed on all the TOP line, which is an upgrading of the preceding “professional line”.
