SYNCHRONIZED RIGID TAPPING

The UFS technical brochure is dedicated to synchronized rigid tapping (Rigid Tapping) on CNC machines, providing an overview of tap families designed to ensure precision, process stability and high reliability.

The range includes straight flute taps, spiral point taps and 40° spiral flute taps, available for through holes and blind holes, also in FOR versions with internal coolant supply, ideal for improving chip evacuation and heat dissipation during machining.

Manufactured in PM3 powdered metallurgy steel with high-performance TXC coating, these industrial threading tools are suitable for applications on high-strength steels, stainless steel, materials with tensile strength Rm ≤ 1400 N/mm², cast iron and high-silicon aluminium castings, ensuring high torsional strength and optimized tool life.

The QR codes included in the technical tables allow quick access to the corresponding product pages on the UFS B2B portal, where users can check availability, product variants and alternative solutions. A practical resource designed to simplify tool selection in synchronized rigid tapping applications, ensuring speed, precision and professional technical support.

S20 TXC • S20 FOR-TXC

Straight flutes for blind and through holes, PM3 steel, TXC coating. This tool family is designed for materials with Rm ≤ 1400 N/mm², cast iron, and high-silicon aluminium castings. Reinforced shank with h6 tolerance for use on specific chucks for synchronized tapping or shrink fit. The FOR version, with a central hole for coolant, allows for deep blind tapping.

S24 TXC

Spiral point for through holes, PM3 steel, TXC coating. The chip direction corresponds to the feed of the tap; suitable for through holes only. Thread depth up to 3xD. For machining steels up to Rm ≤ 1200 N/mm², stainless steels, and non-ferrous materials.
The h6 shank tolerance makes the tool suitable for use with synchronous chucks or shrink-fit chucks.

S80 TXC • S80 FOR-TXC

40° helical taps, PM3 steel, and TXC coating. The high-torque helix allows for threading blind holes up to 2.5xD deep and, in the version with a central hole (FOR), up to 3xD. The chip flow is opposite to the tool feed. Furthermore, the back tapered threads (BT - Back Tapered) improve chip evacuation and prevent tap tooth breakage, especially when machining deep holes.

UFS currently has around one hundred employees, collaborators and agents. A family that has (proudly) grown little by little.

There are 3 operational locations.
In Site 1, in addition to the offices, the production of standard tools and special products that require customized processes is located.
A well-equipped Research and Development laboratory is located in Site 2 where controls of the metallographic processes also take place throughout the product development cycle.
The ovens for plasma coatings (PVD) are also located in this plant.
In Site 3, also intended for the reception of raw materials, the roughed are made;
The lathes and hardening and tempering ovens are also located here.
